In Google Mail, when you open the Bin, there is a message:
"messages that have been in Bin for more than 30 days will be automatically deleted."
The reality is Gmail doesn't do that. My oldest mail in the bin is from autobot@hackerwatch.org, title is "Your HackerWatch ID", sent on 31/05/2005, not long after I opened my gmail account.
Why does Gmail lie?
